Full length ballet to premiere in October!

In-Sight is premiering our full length ballet October 7-9 in Long Island City at The Secret Theater! I am also presenting a new piece choreographed in collaboration with dancer Tim Chester, with original music by Matthew Lo Re. Many exciting things to see!

Music Video

I knew I forgot something! In between my performance at DNA and joining In Sight, I traveled to Saratoga Springs, NY with a great bunch of people to shoot a music video for Nat Osborn‘s newest song “Changing of the Guards.” It was an incredible day! The video is expected to be released on the internet sometime in July.

Update!

It seems as though this little blog has become hard to keep up with as life has been so busy! A lot has happened in the past few months that should have been posted, but allow me to update you  now.

At the end of May, I had the pleasure of performing as a soloist at Dance New Amsterdam in Oliver Steele’s performance project. It was a fabulous experience all the way around. The costumes were sparkly, I had to wear high heels, I danced with some amazing ladies, and made some awesome friends (also known today as PTG). I wish I had posted about this because it was definitely a piece to see!

I also recently joined In Sight Dance Company, a contemporary ballet company, directed by Leeanne G-bowley. We have a performance coming up at the end of July at The Secret Theater in Long Island City. This company cares a lot about the community, so we have some service projects coming up too later in the month. I enjoy rehearsing with the group in amazing spaces at DANY and studios at the Joyce SoHo!

I have begun subbing pilates at the 14th Street Y and continue to teach at Ludlow Fitness as well. Stay tuned! I’m hoping to get some video up soon…I just need to make time to work on it!

Ben Levy – LEVYdance

Hi everyone! Today I took Ben Levy’s class at Dance New Amsterdam. He will be there for the rest of the week, teaching from 10am-12pm every day, and is also performing at the Joyce SoHo this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I’ll be posting more about his class in the next few days. For very good reason, he is definitely a top choreographer to watch!
